Scan of photograph of 110 Broad Street (William Harvey House), street (front) elevation. Photo album page annotation: Izard Home - 110 Broad Street - Built before 1757. Written on verso of photo: Mr. George D. Boyan(?). Izard House. 110 Broad Street. Mentioned in Mr. Izard's will, Sept. 13, 1757, but as he acquired the property only 18 months before, it was probably built by a previous owner. The 2 mantle (sic) pieces in the charming room were brought from Italy by a later owner. Mrs. Julius Junius Pringle, afterwards (?) wife of Hon. Joel Rivers Poinsett, who was a granddaughter of the Ralph Izard, her house remained in her family for a hundred years, until it was sold in 1858 to Judge King whose descendants still live there. |
