Constructed ca. 1902. Bradford Lee Gilbert, architect. This 2-story, stuccoed brick residence was built in the early 20th century for Dr. Manning Simons. Simons's house was designed by architect Bradford Lee Gilbert, who designed any of the buildings for the South Carolina Interstate and West Indian Exposition. The house shows influences of the Renaissance Revival style, which was showcased at the Exposition. File contains newspaper articles (undated [1970?] DYKYC). |
